Job Summary
This Part Time Certified Dental Assistant (Level II) role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist dentists during various dental treatments, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to strict infection control procedures.
- Sterilize and arrange dental instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and hygiene.
- Prepare and process dental radiographs (X-rays), following established protocols and guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care, promoting healthy habits and positive outcomes.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient records, utilizing dental software and office management systems.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Adhere to OSHA and infection control guidelines, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Stay updated on dental technology and procedures through continuing education, enhancing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certification as a Dental Assistant.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time.
- Proficiency in dental software and office management systems, with a preference for experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines, with a commitment to patient confidentiality.
