A well established Dental Clinic in Mississauga (North Meadowvale) seeking a Permanent Part-time Hygienist for Wed evenings and Saturdays (4 or 3 per month).

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient office environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality dental services to patients of all ages. Bilingual skills and experience with dental software such as Dentrix are highly valued.

Duties

• Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software
• Manage patient scheduling, reminders, and follow-up appointments
• Ensure the sterilization and proper handling of dental instruments and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns
• Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
• Assist with orthodontic procedures when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment

Experience

• Previous experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but new graduates are also welcome
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is advantageous
• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental management software is desirable
• Experience working with pediatric patients or orthodontic treatments is a plus
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, including bilingual proficiency is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
