We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth operation of daily activities.

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is beneficial.
Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is preferred.
Proficient with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Strong skills in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
