EXPERIENCE DENTAL ASSISTANT

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth operation of daily activities.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is beneficial.
• Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is preferred.
• Proficient with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
• Strong skills in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
