Dental Administrator/Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by providing excellent customer service, managing patient records, and facilitating communication between patients and dental staff. This position requires a friendly demeanor, expert attention to detail, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently and under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar using Dentrix software.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure electronic medical records are up to date.
- Answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with dental staff to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, printing, auditing schedules, and maintaining office supplies.
- Utilize dental terminology to assist in patient communication and documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office is preferred and a great asset.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in managing electronic medical records and other office technologies.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
