Dentist (Associate) – Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and experienced Associate Dentist to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will be confident in performing a wide range of dental procedures, including more complex treatments, while ensuring a high standard of patient care and comfort.

This position is ideal for an experienced dentist who is comfortable handling comprehensive treatment plans and complex cases in a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions
• Confidently perform molar root canal treatments, surgical and routine extractions, and other complex dental procedures
• Examine patients’ teeth and gums using X-rays and clinical assessments
• Diagnose dental conditions and develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Clearly discuss treatment options, procedures, and costs with patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and long-term oral health
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants and hygienists to deliver efficient and high-quality care
• Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker management software
• Stay current with advancements in dental techniques and technology

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
• Active Canadian dental license in good standing
• Minimum experience preferred, with the ability to independently perform complex dental treatments
• Strong clinical skills including molar root canals, extractions, and comprehensive restorative treatment
• Experience with Tracker dental software is an asset
• Excellent communication and patient management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced practice
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology is a plus

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work every other Saturday
