Job Overview

We are seeking an organized and professional Dental Administrator with at least 1 year of experience in a dental office setting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our dental practice, ensuring that both patient and office needs are met efficiently and effectively. Proficiency in dental software such as Tracker is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Management:
  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and manage patient cancellations or reschedules.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
  • Insurance and Billing:
  • Process insurance claims, verify insurance coverage, and communicate with insurance companies as necessary.
  • Handle patient billing, payments, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Ensure accurate coding for dental procedures and services.
  • Dental Software Management:
  • Utilize dental software (Tracker or equivalent) for managing appointments, patient files, and billing records.
  • Familiarity with patient portals for online bookings, payments, and communication.
  • General Administrative Support:
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with general office inquiries.
  • Maintain and organize patient charts and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Assist the dental team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Track and maintain office and dental supplies, ensuring that stock levels are always adequate.
  • Compliance & Health & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with dental office policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental administrative role is required.
  • Dental Software: Strong familiarity with dental management software such as Tracker is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance companies.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service: A compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a dedication to providing an exceptional patient experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week

Work Location: In person
